One of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs experts for child and adolescent psychology, autism testing, CBT and play therapy.

Child Psychology

15 years experience working with children’s anxiety, depression, conduct & behavioural issues, adjustment issues, ADHD & ASD. I use evidence-based strategies and treatments in my work with children and adolescents as I believe the work I do with children can help them find a more productive approach to life and the challenges ahead of them.

Adolescent & Teen

I have worked with adolescents and teens for almost 15 years with a variety of issues common to adolescence including suicide/self-harm, educational pressures and developmental issues, along with anxiety and depression.

Adult Psychology

I have worked with adults with severe mental health issues such as Bipolar, Schizophrenia and Psychosis. I have worked with people with drug and alcohol issues, anxiety, depression and relationship issues. I use evidence-based strategies and treatments when working with Adults.

Autism/Asperger’s Syndrome

I have experience with diagnosing Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and the tests used to aid in diagnosing ASD. I’ve worked with children & adolescents with a diagnosis or traits of ASD, & can provide help not only to the child, but also the parents, family and school staff associated with these incredible children.

Trauma Issues

This is one of my areas of passion. I attend workshops and conferences in the treatment of trauma regularly. When working with those affected by trauma I strive to provide a safe place for the client to manage their current symptoms, and only work to resolve their trauma when it is best for the client and the client is truly ready to proceed with resolving the trauma. Sometimes it is only necessary to learn how to remain in the present moment.

Anxiety & Depression

I have experience working with children and adolescents dealing with Anxiety and Depression, providing them with strategies and information that have helped others to better manage their emotions.

Conduct Problems

I have experience in identifying the reasons behind conduct problems with children and adolescents, and have been able to provide strategies to help better manage their problematic behaviour.

ADHD

I have conducted testing to assist in the diagnosis of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and have worked with parents and children to provide information and strategies to better manage their restless behaviour and problems with concentration

Adjustment Difficulties / Parental SepAration

I have worked with children and adolescents going through parental separation and adjustment to changes in their circumstances. I try to provide a safe place for children and their parents to process the changes in their lives and provide strategies to help them manage these changing circumstances better.

Treatment methods

I use a variety of techniques incorporating CBT and mindfulness, narrative, along with play and art therapy.
